Greetings! My name is Laura Callachan, and I joined the Bristol FRC in 2025 as the Program Director and West Bristol Site Coordinator.
I am deeply passionate about education equity, and before joining the Bristol FRC, I spent several years as a statewide community organizer, mobilizing parents, students, school staff, and community leaders to advocate for increased educational resources across Connecticut. I'm excited to bring that passion for strengthening families and communities to the Bristol FRCs, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the incredible work happening at the FRC!
On a personal note, when I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, painting, and spending time with my husband, our amazing toddler, and the world's best cats, Pluto and Luna.
Hi I'm Hilary! I am the Parent Educator for West Bristol School. I have been with the FRC since March 2004, and I have loved every moment of it!
Here is a little about me personally. I have lived in Bristol for 42 years. I was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I have been married for 25 years, and have 3 grown children and one grand daughter. I also have two dogs. My hobbies include, reading, hiking, and going to concerts. I hoped that helped you to learn a little about me. I can’t wait to learn, and connect with you and your family!
Greetings everyone! My name is Tiana Brown, and I am West Bristol FRC's Child & Family Advocate. I have a background in Human Services, and work as a substitute teacher in Watertown and a medical reconciliation technician at St. Mary's Hospital. I have 2 daughters. One is a 5th grader at West Bristol, the other is 20. I love being outdoors, walking, hiking, jump roping (I'm very competitive!), and spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy working with children and their families. I am very excited about what the future has in store!
Hi everyone! My name is Sofia Alfaiate, and I am the MSW intern at West Bristol School for the 2025-2026 school year. I graduated from UConn this past May with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and am now pursuing a Masters in Social Work at UConn as well. I volunteer for the Crisis Textline, and have around 8 years of experience in childcare with children ages 0-12. In my free time, I love to read psychological thrillers, watch just about any kind of documentary (especially true crime), and play card games or board games! I am so excited and grateful to work with the children and families of the West Bristol community!

Hello families! This is my 11th school year in the Greene-Hills FRC. I started my career as a certified teacher after graduating from UCONN, and went back to school 10 years ago to earn a second degree in Counseling Psychology. I've been a parent educator and child development coach for the past 22 years, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 7 years. I truly enjoy helping families learn new strategies to reduce stress, improve communication within their family, and overall, just feel supported and heard.
In my personal life, I am a parent of 3 adult children, along with 2 dogs and a guinea pig. I also enjoy practicing martial arts, reading, and cooking.

I look forward to helping to bring new perspective and knowledge as well as to continue to support the wonderful people of Bristol.
Hello South Side families and welcome to our FRC website. I’ve been working with families for over 36 years and have been with South Side for over 21 years. My role is to support all families and children in the South Side community. Every family has strengths and every family experiences challenges. When families are healthy and strong, our children thrive, therefore, my role is to build upon family strengths by providing support services, resources, and activities. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.
