Welcome back!
We’re glad to have everyone together again and ready to start a new school year. Whether you’re returning or just joining us, we’re looking forward to a term full of learning, trying new things, and working together. There will be challenges along the way, but we’ll face them as a team and support each other. I look forward to seeing all the amazing things we do over the Autumn term.

KS1 Trip to Cleethorpes
Children in KS1 visited Cleethorpes as part of Geography to deepen their knowledge of coastal features.
The children got to spend time on the beach looking at the tide, building sandcastles, finding interesting shells and had a walk around the town.
Rotherham Baton Relay
We are very proud of our children and staff who took part in Rotherham Children's Capital of Culture Schools Baton Relay.
Children across school enjoyed getting involved and showing their support for the runners that represented Whitehill.
Skipping Festival
Children in Year 4 had the opportunity to take part in a Skipping Festival. The event brought together children from several local schools to celebrate fitness, teamwork, and the joy of skipping!
The children took part in a wide range of skipping activities – from individual challenges to fun group games. Everyone had the chance to try new skills, cheer on their classmates, and most importantly, have fun while staying active.
EYFS Trip to Sundown
Our EYFS children had a fantastic day at Sundown Adventureland! From exploring Storybook Village to riding the Pirate Ship and discovering magical play areas, the day was filled with laughter, adventure, and fun.
The children were wonderful throughout – showing great behaviour, trying new things, and making lovely memories with their friends. A big thank you to our staff and helpers for making the day so special.
Festival of Sport
In March, children from KS2 got the opportunity to attend the Festival of Sport.
The children took part in a variety of different sports - parkour, BMX, hockey, golf and many other sports. It was a fantastic opportunity for all of the children to have a go at new sports and learn new skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
Attendance
It is really important that your child arrives at school on time and attends everyday. Just 15 minutes late per day is over 1 hour of lost learning.
