Welcome back!
It is an absolute pleasure to welcome all our children back after the summer break. The children have made a positive start to the new year and we have been really impressed with their attitudes to learning.
We have a very busy school term ahead, with lots for the children to get involved with.
Sports Day
It was great to see so much support for Sports Day this year and to be able to welcome parents/carers into school to watch.
All teams did amazing across all different sports. Congratulations to our overall winning team - the Green Team.
KS1 Trip to Cleethorpes
Children in KS1 visited Cleethorpes as part of Geography to deepen their knowledge of coastal features.
The children got to spend time on the beach looking at the tide, building sandcastles, finding interesting shells and had a walk around the town.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club has been extremely popular again in 2024. Breakfast Club is a great way to get children ready and settled for the start of the school day.
Mrs Griffiths has been leading craft activities such as 3D diamond art and has done some baking with the children.
We are looking forward to see what spooky creations can be made ready for Halloween.
Macmillan Coffee Afternoon
We want to say a massive thank you for all of your donations towards the Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. This year we raised a fantastic £181.50!
Thank you for your continued support.
WPT Residential
In June, Years 5 and 6 attended the WPT residential.
The children got to take part in water sports and safety at Ulley Reservoir and had a day of sports and team building at Cranworth Road.
Residentials are a great way for children to have some independence away from home and learn new life skills.
Sporting Competitions
We had a very successful year taking part in Rotherham School Games from Cricket to Cross-Country Running and many other sports.
We hope to continue the same success in 2024/2025.
TT Rockstar Day
Children across school enjoyed TT Rockstar day, celebrating the launch of TT Rockstars for the new academic year.
We loved the creativity of the costumes and the real Rockstar spirit that the children and staff brought to the day.
Attendance
It is really important that your child arrives at school on time and attends everyday. Just 15 minutes late per day is over 1 hour of lost learning.
We hope to award plenty of bronze attendance badges at the end of the Autumn Term.
