Mrs. Mason

My name is Jane Mason, and I am the Social Emotional Learning Support Specialist at Brimfield Grade School. I support SEL skills with all students by collaborating with classroom teachers and supporting students through classroom lessons, intervention groups, and individual check ins.  

Prior to this role, I was the  third and fourth grade special education teacher at BGS for 5 years and a reading interventionist at Banner Elementary in Dunlap from 2012-2021. Before that, I taught second grade and worked for an educational publishing company writing math workbooks for a few years when my family lived in Iowa. 

I earned my elementary education degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998 and a master’s degree in reading and administration from Viterbo University in 2004. I was certified in special education through Eureka College in 2021.
