I began my teaching career in Brimfield in 2011 after graduating from Bradley University. I have taught 6th Grade every year since! I enjoy teaching English and Social Studies because both subjects enable students to view their world from new perspectives. Helping students connect the  content covered in class with their ever-changing world prepares them to adapt and leverage their strengths in order to create success. 

Teaching can be an isolating endeavor, standing alone before a group of students with their eyes trained on you. However, with the support of my 5th and 6th Grade team, the confidence of district administrators, and love from my family at home, I feel a connectedness through my job that allows me to see the great work we're all doing and the importance of my small part in it.
