Teaching in District 309

• • During the 2017/2018 school year I was named a Top Ten Teacher for the State of Illinois.  It was an honor to represent our school district and my profession.  I have since had the opportunity to connect with area colleges and speak to area teachers and administrators about the importance of developing strong relationships in the classroom.  

  • I became a mentor teacher for our district in 2013.  I love getting to know the new teachers at Brimfield.

  • I serve on many of our school/district committees including the Crisis Team and 504 Plan Team.

LIFE AT HOME

• • My husband, Charles, and I are parents to one amazing son, William.

  • We have one dog named Noelle, and a wonderful cat, Holly.

  • I like decorating and finding the perfect fixer upper project for my classroom or home.  I love a wonderful cup of coffee, especially when paired with a rainy day and a good book.  As a family we enjoy camping, movies, cooking, and road trips.
