Greetings! I’m Julia, the founder of Brilliant Balance Bookkeeping. I am a QuickBooks Gold Level ProAdvisor. I am newer to the bookkeeping profession, but I bring with me a strong foundation built on skills that matter most: organization, clear communication, and a love for numbers.
Before launching my business, I spent eight years as a teacher—so explaining complex ideas in simple, easy-to-understand ways is second nature to me. I believe that your books shouldn't feel confusing or intimidating. I take the time to break things down so you know exactly where your business stands, without the jargon.

I work remotely from Surprise, Arizona and serve small business owners across the U.S. If you’re using (or ready to switch to) QuickBooks Online, we can work together — no matter your location or industry. I specialize in helping business owners who want clear, consistent financials and a better understanding of their numbers, regardless of their field.
I’ll provide an engagement letter outlining exactly what services we’ve agreed on — and what’s not included — so everything is clear from the start. Services are billed monthly and work on a month-to-month basis. There’s no long-term commitment, and you’re free to cancel at any time.
I work exclusively with QuickBooks Online — it’s secure, cloud-based, and ideal for remote collaboration. I’m a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and also certified in QuickBooks Payroll, so you can trust that your books are being handled with expert-level knowledge and care.
To make sure we’re a great fit, I offer an initial Bookkeeping Checkup for a flat fee of $50. This includes a review of your current books, a discussion of your needs and goals, and a custom service proposal tailored to your business.
This step ensures I can give you an accurate quote — and helps filter out casual inquiries so I can focus on serving committed clients.
If we move forward, I’ll credit the $50 toward your first month of service. If I determine we’re not a good fit, I’ll refund the fee. However, if I provide a quote and you decide not to move forward, the fee is nonrefundable.
Absolutely. I take data security seriously. All document sharing is done through secure, permission-controlled Google Drive folders, and I use QuickBooks Online, which features bank-level encryption. Your information stays confidential and is only accessible to you and me — no one else.
I don’t prepare taxes, but I do work closely with your CPA to ensure your books are clean, accurate, and tax-ready. I’ll handle your ongoing bookkeeping and support you with 1099 filings at year-end, so your accountant has everything they need when tax season arrives.
