Retired Pack Members
Chevy
Chevy is the brother of Jack who is at the high school. He retired on January 1, 2025. Chevy's other brother, Parks, is a police dog for the Huron-Clinton Metro Parks. Mr. and Mrs. Storey were his handlers. Chevy enjoyed spending time at many BAS events and the community. You would have seen him at a football, baseball, or even basketball game. Chevy enjoys playing fetch. He will gladly join in a game of fetch if you have a ball.
Henry
Henry is an Australian Shepard who lives with his handler Tammy Monroe who was the Assistant Supervisor at Tot Spot Preschool & Childcare. Henry retired during the summer of 2024. He had the opportunity to be the very first dog that some kids ever got to see, and probably the first dog that anyone saw in a daycare or school. He took that responsibility very seriously. Henry helped to make an impact on some of our youngest and oldest community members.
Scout
Scout was the lead dog at Hawkins. With his friendly personality, Scout made some hard days for students and staff a little easier. He enjoyed walking the halls at Hawkins with students and loved to spend time with them in the courtyard. Scout retired in June 2024 with Jennifer Mykols, one of Hawkins Elementary's secretaries.
Keeper
Keeper was a part of our Brighton High School community. She loved spending time in our counseling office and experiencing all the exciting things at the high school. Keeper retired in June 2023
Shadow
Shadow was a part of the first group of Labradors that joined Brighton Area Schools. His original placement was at Hornung Elementary then transitioned to Spencer Elementary before retiring. Shadow retired in June 2022.
Ceasar
Ceasar was the first member of the BAS Pack of Dogs. During his time in Brighton, he was a part of numerous buildings. His work paved the way for all dogs you see today.
Ceasar also has a statue at the Brighton Imagination Station. He and the rest of the pack are a huge part of our Brighton Community.
