Mrs. Youmans is excited to begin a new journey with a new set of amazing 5th graders! After graduating from Georgia Southern University, Mrs. Youmans began her teaching career as a 2nd grade teacher in her small hometown. She then moved to Cobb County, where she taught 5th grade for 5 years. During that time, she sat as Team Lead, received her Gifted In-field Certification, coached competition and basketball sideline cheerleading, and served as the advisor for the Yearbook Club.

In December, Mrs. Youmans and her husband, 6 year old son, and 1 year old daughter purchased a home in Douglas County. In their spare time, Mrs. Youmans and her family enjoy going out to eat, spending time with their family in South Georgia, and watching movies while snuggled on the couch.

Mrs. Youmans' greatest joy in her years of teaching is witnessing the "ah-ha" moment students experience when they are finally able to grasp a concept they have worked so hard to understand. Mrs. Youmans' goal for the remainder of the school year is to inspire her students to choose kindness, and of course, to work hard now to achieve their goals!
