My life motto has turned into my teaching philosophy. As a thrill seeker and a person who loves adventures I have realized that courage is not something that you are born with. I believe that courage is a decision you make to be brave and step out and take a risk even when the circumstances are scary or hard. In my classroom I want to help my students make the decision to be courageous when learning, being a friend, being a leader, a sibling, or whatever else life asks them to be. I want our classroom to be a safe place to take risks in trying something we might not succeed at the first time. In our classroom we will learn from our mistakes to help us continue to grow. Being a learner takes lots of courage. I also want my students to encourage their classmates to be courageous in their learning and how they treat each other. I hope my students will take this motto and apply it to the rest of their lives.
Act like ladies and gentlemen
Be kind with our words and actions
Be ready to learn
Know that everyone is different and will look, learn, and think differently (This is completely okay :))
Be okay with not being perfect
Be ready to try new things
