To ensure a smooth and streamlined process, all Sunshine Day entry forms will be completed and submitted by Bridgewood staff.
Clients who would like to participate by entering a project must create their project while attending the day program. Bridgewood is unable to submit projects that were completed outside of the program. The only exception is the Baked Goods catergory. Clients who wish to submit a baked good for Sunshine Day must create it at home.
Certain day program classes naturally align with Sunshine Day categories and will be able to work on projects during class time. For example:
Watercolor Painting → Arts category
Guitar Hero Club → Does not align with a project category
Sunshine Day entry forms are due by March 20 at 5:00 PM. To meet this deadline, clients must inform staff by March 19 if they plan to submit a project.
To make sure all clients have the opportunity to create a Sunshine Day project, even if they are not enrolled in a project-based class, we will be offering free on-site project-making events each month. These events will allow clients to create eligible projects so no one misses out.
In addition to project entries, Sunshine Day includes:
Lunch provided (chili dogs, chips, and a drink)
Carnival rides
Petting zoo
And more fun fair activities
