Practice presentations
Overview:
Deliver your presentation in 20 minutes. Team leader shares screen for the whole time. Decide who will keep time so your team can stay on track.
You will present to a faculty mentor and a UN SDG Alumni. The faculty mentor for practice presentations will be one who has not worked directly with your team yet. These two people will be your audience for the practice and provide you with feedback on your presentation.
During your presentation, your audience will provide written feedback in the chat. Feedback will be focused on the 3+ questions you decide upon with your team and also will include other relevant information.
After presenting and receiving feedback you will have time with your team and your own faculty mentor to review your feedback and reflections on the practice session.
You are invited to connect with any of the faculty mentors from the UN SDG Summer Scholars about your presentation this summer or about anything now and in the future! You can find all email addresses right here on this website.
Let's Get Started!
Start by getting into your small groups with your team to identify 3+ questions you really want feedback on from your practice audience.
Decide on which team member will keep track of timing the presentation and who will control the share screen feature throughout the presentation. You should have already decided who will present which content for the talk.
When you come back together whole group, list the 3+ questions you identified for feedback in the chat.
Get into your team groups again, now with the UN SDG alumni and your "practice session" faculty mentor.
Present for 20 minutes.
After your presentation, Team Leader will report out on next steps.
