I recently moved with my family to the Lowcountry in May 2025 from Hiawassee, Georgia. I bring over 20 years of experience in public education, having spent the majority of my career as a middle school teacher at Towns County Middle School. In addition to classroom teaching, I also served as a career specialist at Mountain Education Charter High School—a public, nontraditional night school designed to support high school students seeking an alternative path to graduation.
Education runs deep in my family. My oldest daughter, Taylor Mann, is a 5th-grade science teacher here at Bridges Preparatory School. I’m also a proud grandmother of six, including two current Bridges students: Aubrey, who is in 8th grade, and Jupiter, who just started kindergarten. My mom and mother-n-law were teachers and my son-n-law is a coach and teacher in Asheville, North Carolina.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time fishing and sewing. Even though my mother -n -law was a professor for University of Tennessee, my family and I are avid Georgia Bulldog fans—Go Dawgs!
