- Parliamentary Debate-a form of debate in which teams are given 20 minutes to prepare arguments
- Research emphasis- this unit is centered around expanding the depth and breadth of conducting topical research
- Public Forum-a team debate in which there is a great emphasis on use of in-depth evidence, as students are given a topic well in advance
- Prep Time for States and Nationals- this part of the year allows the students to spend increased time preparing for state and national competitions
