Welcome to Japanese 2

This course is an advanced-beginner continuation to those who have completed introductory Japanese and possess a basic writing ability (Hiragana, Katakana, some Kanji), as well as understand basic grammatical rules. The goal of this course is to help students continue learning the four major language skills: Speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Additionally, the finer appreciation of Japanese culture and customs will be introduced through readings and cultural assignments. Students will explore different perspectives of Japanese lifestyle, historical events, and the arts. Reading and writing skills will also be further developed within this course. Ultimately, students will be able to describe and express detailed and personalized information about themselves such their hobbies, daily activities, and situations that require invitation and greeting.
