Advanced Film

Welcome to Advanced Film!

In Advanced Film, we will further explore the study of film. Topics such as editing, auteur style, solving production problems and the behind the scenes stories of specific films & the creative people involved are found across all three years of curriculum.

Advanced film has three different year-long versions of curriculum content that rotate. Skills are tracked individually among students as they progress all or part way through the curriculum.

Students may pursue a progressive track of developing film criticism and analysis towards a collegiate level of writing in the field, and/or a progressive track of film production. Production includes writing a story treatment, a screenplay, a shooting script or a storyboard, as well as shooting and editing short films and longer works.
