This course emphasizes empathetic and ethical scholarship. It is necessary when examining humans to respect their humanity first and foremost. Students are held to high standards when engaging in the classroom community, and with the broader community of our shared species.
Students are provided a foundation in Information Literacy, and expected to consistently apply those skills throughout the course. Students are tasked with scrutinizing sources and challenging authority (to an appropriate degree).
