Congratulations To Our very Own Ariel Ruggierro!!!

Over the weekend, one of our great 6th grade students, Ariel Ruggiero swam at Hofstra University to compete and strive to qualify for the state championships which take place at Eisenhower park in March.

On the 200 free, Ariel's time entering was 2:42, Ariel needed to be under a 2:40 he brought his time in at 2:34’92. The most impressive to his coaches was the 50-butter-Fly, Ariel needed a 39.48, he came in at 39:14.

Ariel qualified for states in the 200 freestyle, 50 breast-stroke, 50 butterfly, 50 free style, and 100 medley relay. If he places in states he will move on to compete in Jr. Olympics.

Fourth grade has been working really hard creating equivalent fractions. They have been practicing how to show their thinking using different strategies.

The first grade finished their Social Studies unit on Families and Traditions. To celebrate the unit and everyone's family, students and teachers brought in food from their own family traditions to share and enjoy together.

Sunday February 20, 10 AM. Brooks-Park: The Intersection of Art and Nature. (1-2 miles)

Join with East Hampton Trails Preservation Society and visit the late abstract expressionists James Brooks & Charlotte Park property on 11 unspoiled Springs acres. Explore the land and hike the adjacent trails, a true intersection of art and nature. We'll learn about Brooks and Park's impact in the abstract expressionist movement that thrived in Springs in the mid-20th century. There is a mission here, an opportunity to reimagine the residence, cottage and two art studios on this Town owned property. A dedicated management committee is in place, and will be here to discuss the vision of this restoration into the Brooks-Park Arts and Nature Center to be enjoyed and celebrated by a diverse cross section of our residents. The Brooks-Park Arts and Nature Center can become part of an unparalleled group of historic artists' homes and studios with public access in Springs: Pollock-Krasner, Duck Creek Farm, Leiber Collection. A not to be missed, important community event. Meet 10 AM on Eastside Court off Neck Path, Springs. Leader: Irwin Levy, call/text 516-456-1337, irwintlevy@gmail.com, ehtps.org, brooks-park.org.

Congratulations To Sebastian Mir & Ayanna El

Make a difference in the Bridgehampton School Community.

Join the Bridgehampton School PTO today!

The Bridgehampton Parent Teacher Organization organizes special events for our school and assists those in need in our community. Membership dues and fundraisers benefit all Bridgehampton School students from Pre K through 12th grade. The PTO plans and hosts events like the Scholastic Book Fair, school pictures, Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and all-school BBQs that bring together students, parents and teachers for a communal meal. We enrich the school experience for students by providing scholarships, treats, entertainment, books and prizes.

PTO meetings are a great way to get to know other parents and teachers while working together to make a positive impact. Get involved today by contributing your ideas, talents, and time to help the PTO continue to enhance the Bridgehampton School community.

Suggested donation: $20 for the year, but any amount is appreciated!
