Reading Websites for Practice

Stories to Grow By offers audio stories and Reader's Theater scripts for free. Best for students in K-3rd grade.

Storyline Online is a FREE collection of children's books read aloud by authors and other celebrities. Many books to choose from. Be sure to turn on Closed Caption so that students can read the words in print!

This is a great site to encourage creativity, writing skills, and allow your child to have fun with poetry! Listen to the Podcast for audio recordings, play games that strengthen writing skills, or visit the poetry writing lessons page for help making your own poems. Best for grades 2-5!

This site has many resources that will guide parents in ways to improve student reading skills at home. There are also suggested summer reading lists, tips for reading with your child, and author interview videos!
