Symphonic Band is a full year, co-curricular performance ensemble. It is taught at the Accelerated Level and is open to all students, grades 9-12. Symphonic Band meets during Block 1 OR Block 2 for the 2025-2026 school year.
As a co-curricular ensemble, students in Symphonic Band have required performances outside of the school day which are required for credit. These events include: Winter Concert, Spring Concert, Band Day, and Graduation. More info about course requirements can be found in the Music Department Handbook.
Prerequisites: Proficiency on a brass, woodwind, or concert percussion instrument. Students with no prior instrumental experience are welcome and encouraged to join, but be advised to be prepared to come before or after school for extra help / private lessons, work hard, and practice in order to be successful!
