Kevin McKnight is the Guidance Coordinator/Special Services School Counselor at Brick Memorial High School. He was born in Cumberland County, NJ graduating from Cumberland Regional High School in 1985. He then completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from William Paterson University in 1989. He completed his Teacher of the Handicapped Endorsement and Student Personnel Certificate through Georgian Court University. He also completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. Besides the previously mentioned endorsements he is a nationally certified Athletic Trainer, holds educational certificates as a Director of Student Personnel Services, Principal, and Driver’s Education. He is presently continuing his education to obtain his Learning Disability Teacher Consultant Endorsement.
His work experience includes being the Athletic Trainer at the renowned Glen Mills Schools for Juvenile Delinquents in Pennsylvania and the Athletic Trainer at Parsippany High School. Since 1991, he has served the Brick Township School District in a variety of capacities. From 1991 to 1998 he was the Athletic Trainer at Brick Township Memorial High School. He then moved into the Special Education field serving as a teacher in the Pathways Program at Laurelton from 1998 to 2002. He moved back to Brick Memorial from 2002 to 2004 serving as an Inclusion/Resource Room Teacher. He came to work at Brick Township High School in September of 2004 as a School Counselor. In 2017 he moved back to Brick Memorial as the Guidance Coordinator. He coached Freshman Field Hockey at Brick Memorial for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He continues to fill in as the Athletic Trainer for the district. He is also a National Federation of High School State Associations Certified Official and is a Shore Conference Field Hockey and Lacrosse Official through the NJSIAA
He is very active in many associations ranging from the National Athletic Trainers Association to the American School Counselor Association. He is a member of the Ocean County School Counselor Association, New Jersey School Counselor Association, and the New Jersey Association of College Admissions Counselors.
Angela Smith has been a Brick Township High School Counselor for the past 11 years and the Guidance Coordinator for the past 4 years. She has experience as a Middle School Admissions Counselor at The Princeton Day School and a school counselor at Paramus Catholic High School.
She attended Susquehanna University studying Psychology and Biology receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. She pursued a Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Rider University with a Graduate Assistantship in the Career Counseling Department. Angela recently obtained her Supervisor of Guidance certification from Rider University.
Angela is a mom of 3 boys and enjoys being part of their sports and activities.

Mrs. Leone is a Burlington County native who is a graduate of Northern Burlington County Regional High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lehigh University where she attained her B.A. in Sociology/Social Psychology, and was a member of the Women's Softball Program. After graduation she continued working with the softball team as a Graduate Assistant while completing her Masters in Secondary School Counseling.
Mrs. Leone began her School Counseling career (2006-2009) at Roxbury High School in Morris County, New Jersey where she coached Freshman Softball and Junior Varsity Field Hockey. Since the Fall of 2009 she has been a proud member of the Brick Memorial Guidance Department.
Ms. Piwowarczyk grew up in Piscataway, NJ and attended Piscataway High School where she was a member of the Superchief Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra, playing the tenor saxophone and flute. She was also a member of the National Honor Society.
Ms. Piwowarczyk earned her Bachelor Degree at The College of New Jersey where she majored in Business Administration- Marketing and completed minors in both Psychology and Communication Studies. Ms. Piwowarczyk was a member of the TCNJ Dance Team and Captain of the school Dance Company as well.
After working in Sales and Marketing for a multi-national company in New Jersey and New York City, she decided to pursue her true passion for helping others and was accepted into The College of New Jersey Masters of Education Program. There Ms. Piwowarczyk earned her Masters Degree in Counseling with a School Counseling Certification and was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the Counseling Honor Society. She has been certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is professionally affiliated with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and Ocean County School Counselor Association (OSCA).

Mrs. Reinhard was born and raised in Brick and graduated from Brick Township High School in 1991. She attended the College of New Jersey and received a BS in Biology Education in 1995. She taught high school biology for 5 years at Brick Township Memorial High School while pursuing a Masters degree in School Counseling. She received her MA in School Counseling from the College of New Jersey in 2002 and has been a school counselor ever since graduation.
Ms. Rettino was a graduate of Brick Township High School in 1999. She went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Social Work and graduated Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social work in 2004. Ms. Rettino has been working in the field of social work for the past 16 years with various community agencies within Ocean County.
In 2007 Ms. Rettino became a New Jersey Certified Mental Health Screener working for the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, PESS Psychiatric Emergency Screening.
In 2011 Ms. Rettino attended Monmouth University to complete requirements to become eligible for her Student Assistance Coordinator Certification.
Prior to joining us at Brick Memorial in 2012,, she was the Clinical Director of Seashore Family Services, a non-profit outpatient substance abuse and family services counseling center.
Ms. Rettino also has a private practice in Point Pleasant Beach where she specializes in working with young adults, and families, providing individual and family therapy.
Ms. Rettino holds the following certifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug, Certified School Social Worker and Student Assistance Coordinator and is a member of the Association of Student Assistance Professionals of New Jersey and the National Association of Social Worker.
Lori Ann Roland was born in Belleville, NJ and grew up in Middletown, NJ. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomsburg University where she majored in French and minored in Psychology. Upon graduation, she worked in New York as an analyst for Morgan Stanley, Inc on the International Desk. She returned to graduate school and earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling, Human Development and Educational Leadership from Montclair State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor/School Counselor. Ms. Roland is also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor.
Ms. Roland began her career in counseling at Counseling & Referral Services of Ocean (now known as Seashore Family Services) in Brick where she worked as a clinician specializing in adolescent and family therapy. She then went to work in Ocean Township, NJ for the Department of Human Services as a Student Assistance Counselor for Ocean Township High School. She coached Varsity Cheerleading at Ocean for 7 years. Ms. Roland came to Brick High School in August of 1999 to work as a Student Assistance Counselor. She also is a certified French teacher and has taught French at Brick High School. In addition, she holds a certificate in Student Personnel Services. Currently, Ms. Roland works as an in-home therapist for an organization called LYTE (Leading Youth Through Experience) where she provides individual, family and marital therapy for a varied clientele. She has also worked as a clinician in private practice for the past 16 years. She is also involved in fitness and instructs classes in Point Pleasant Beach and Brielle. Ms. Roland is professionally affiliated with numerous counseling organizations; she is an active member of the American Counseling Association, the NJ Association of Student Assistance Professionals, and the Ocean County Personnel and Guidance Association.
