The Annual Meeting of the Briarwood Homes Association will be held this year on Monday,
March 9, 2026 at 7:30PM. We continue to experience double the participation at our virtual
meetings than those previously in person so will continue to hold a virtual meeting using Zoom.
The link to the Zoom meeting was provided in the annual mailing which you should have received in the mail.
Agenda Highlights:
1. A representative from Fairfax County will speak with the community about the Board of Supervisor’s proposed Unified Sanitation Districts and receive feedback. Nothing has been approved by the BoS yet, but this is a chance for Briarwood residents to be informed on potential changes to trash collection.
2. The Association’s Proposed 2026 Budget will be presented and discussed. We are not recommending a change in dues from the past several years ($80).
3. If you cannot attend the Annual Meeting, please complete the proxy statement included in the mailing
and return it to the address provided. (You can just drop it in the black mailbox outside the playground without postage.) Your participation is important; business cannot be conducted without at least 10% of the members present in person or by proxy. Lots must be in good standing with dues paid for 2025 to be eligible to vote. If you have just moved into your house in 2025, the dues wer e paid at your closing. This year, we are asking you to renew the terms for two Board of Directors. You may approve or write-in selections on the proxy if you
can’t be present.
4. Please consider volunteering to help with the Architectural Committee. There is currently 1 vacancy that needs filled. This takes very little time but is an easy way to help the community.
5. Finally, as always, there will be a drawing held among those in attendance for one free year of association dues. You must be present online to win.
