Introduction to Learning with Electronics
This workshop is designed to provide participants with guided experiences in connecting an Arduino board (Adafruit Trinket Pro 5V) to a computer, troubleshooting the communications between the computer and external device, breadboarding, engineering, and programming simple, but exciting interactive projects. The workshop will also explore the differences, benefits, and tradeoffs between Arduino, Hummingbird Robotics, shields, Raspberry Pi, and some of the other materials available for use during the Constructing Modern Knowledge Institute.

Concepts and Terminology
- Microcontroller: a printed circuit board containing a programmable chip that is used to build electronic projects.
- Components: Circuits are comprised of several to many components such as sensors, actuators, wires, resistors and/or other electrical components.
- Programming: Using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to program the Arduino microcontroller (sample code provided).
