FAQ

1. Is there a fee to have my student attend Bark River-Harris Preschool? 

      No! Michigan GSRP offers free programming for all students! We do prioritize based on income and need, but if we have spots open, we can fill them all with any families. We have very rarely turned down any families since we hold two classrooms with 15 students in each. 

2. What days and times does your program run?

We see students Monday through Thursday. Drop off time is between 8:00-8:15 and pick up is at 2:50. 

3. Do you offer bussing? 

Not at this time. We do require our families to drop off and pick up. 

4. Do you run the full school calendar year?

Preschool classes begin one week after the rest of the building and end one week prior to the rest. We do this so families can connect with the teachers before students start. These relationships are very important to us. 

5. What supplies do we need to provide for our child in your program?

We only ask that you send inside shoes, a backpack, and a water bottle. We suggest sending in a change of clothes and encourage outdoor gear because we play outside for a full hour. 

6. Does my child need to be potty trained before starting school?

No, we will help with the potty training process while at school. We'd be happy to offer tips and tricks to help. 

7. How old does my child need to be to start preschool?

Students must be 4 years old by September 1 to be considered for our first round of enrollment. If we have open spots, we can open that up to students who turn 4 by December 1.
