I previously mentioned that light shows like to make use of the pendulum wave machine in order to captivate their audiences however there are also other times in the real world where we see pendulums being incorporated.
One good example of this is the below image depicting a ride at a carnival. There are other designs utilized which vary from carnival to carnival, some of which the seats face each other and additional ones in which the bottom of the ride spins. They each swing back and forth until they lose speed after a few minutes and it is one of the most fun rides you will find at your local carnival. This is one of the more fun applications of pendulums.
In addition to the previous example we also have old-fashioned clocks. They make use of the pendulum in order to keep track of time and assist you in remaining on time for important events.
Musicians may also be fans of metronomes which can be used to maintain a steady beat/rhythm when playing an instrument.
