ISAC and “House” Rules are indicated which take priority over official rules.
The 3-ball system should be used to maintain the flow of the game. Appropriate staffing of officials to manage this system is a requirement.
Official game ball will be MVA 300 dimpled ball.

III. Uniforms:
Uniforms for volleyball may consist of numbers from 1 to 99.
The numbers should be clearly visible on front and back of the shirts.
Home and away sets are not required.
It is recommended that knee pads and supports be either black or white.
F.I.V.B. regulations for numbers and uniforms should be followed as closely as possible. All players are required to have a number on the back and front of their playing uniform.
The requirement for team captain to have their playing number underlined on their uniform is waived and therefore not compulsory.
IV. ISAC Volleyball Tournament Format:
A full round robin will be played to establish a seeding for the semi-final play- off round of the tournament.
Matches should begin no earlier than 8AM on any day, and should be completed by 8PM when at all possible.
Matches should start based on the published ISAC schedule. If games are running behind, a shot gun start may be used. Adjusted warm up times will be agreed on by the tournament director and respective AD’s and subsequently coaches.
Each team should have a 5-minute full court warm up. This may be adjusted if necessary by the tournament director if games are running behind schedule.
All matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with the first 2 sets going to 25 points. The 3rd set in the round robin will be to 15. All sets will be played win played win by two with no ceiling.
In the semi-finals and final round (rounds 22 – 25), the third set will be played to 25 points. All sets will be played win by two with no ceiling.
Each Volleyball match should be scheduled for a 1-hour time-slot.
Play-off matches will also be best 2 out of 3 sets with 1st through 4th seeds from the round robin competing. (2 vs. 3, 1 vs. 4)
All round robin games should take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning with the finals on Saturday afternoon of the tournament.
Teams forced into a back-to-back game situation during semi-finals and finals will be given a 20-minute rest period when the time schedule permits it.
Final matches for 1st place and 3rd place will also be best 2 out of 3 sets with boys’ and girls’ finals being run back-to-back.
Round robin standings will be based on the 3-win, 1-loss, 0-forfeit scoring system.
The ISAC tie break procedures will be used when necessary.
Two Linesmen must be used for all round robin and semi-final games, and four must be used for each final game.
An official scorekeeper must be used for all matches following the FIVB scoring system.
Teams may have only 4 players and 3 non-players on the bench. Only the coach may stand, all others on the bench must remain seated on the bench at all times.
Each team may have multiple liberos who can play in the same match but cannot be on the court at the same time. Liberos must be declared at the beginning of the game and cannot be changed once the game has started. The libero just wear a different colored shirt from their teammates.
Substitution – maximum of 6 substitutions per set. A player may only return to the game by replacing the same player they substituted.
