CPD Law updates

For all staff members affected by Continuing Professional Development (CPD) legislation, please be advised that updates have been made to these policies. Teachers are now required to complete only 15 units instead of 45, and may submit any professional development for validation.

Please review the government document, located here. If you have any questions, please ask Steve Allan or Sheila Griarte.

This spring, ACAMIS will have workshops applicable to a variety of staff. In particular, new and aspiring teacher leaders are encouraged to review these. Please read more about these workshops here and submit the standard external PD application if you are interested.

International School Manila is hosting a 2-day weekend workshop with author, curriculum designer, and instructional coach, Julie Harris Stern.

Learn practical ways teachers can build the schema in students’ brains that facilitates deeper understanding and the ability to unlock complex problems through learning transfer. This workshop is designed to serve teachers and school leaders who seek to deepen their understanding of how to design curriculum and instruction that honors the research-rich past while preparing students for today’s world and beyond.

Apply for this opportunity using the external PD application form.
