Blinn College is once again offering several scholarships to outstanding Texas High School graduates. These include the Valedictorian Scholarship, Salutatorian Scholarship, Academic UIL Scholarship and Exemplary Scholarship. Funding for scholarships is limited and dependent on approval by the Blinn College District Board of Trustees.

The Valedictorian/Salutatorian scholarships must be awarded for the first Fall semester immediately following high school graduation. Students must submit their final official high school transcript to Blinn Admissions showing their final class rank (1st or 2nd). Availability of this scholarship can vary depending on student demand. Recipients must attend Blinn for 12 or more hours each Fall and Spring semester, earn 12 hours per semester, and maintain a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or better to continue receiving the scholarship. Students who fail to earn a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or better will have their scholarship permanently revoked. Previous recipients cannot regain eligibility for the scholarship.

To be able to award these scholarships, please send me the name and Blinn ID# (B00) of your Valedictorian and Salutatorian by Monday, June 19, 2023. If you do not have their Blinn ID, please send the last 4 of their SS#.

Academic UIL Scholarship - Blinn offers scholarships to students who placed first, second, or third in Academic UIL competition at the state or district meet.

Students must submit documentation on high school letterhead explaining the type of academic meet they were a participant of and the placement they received in competition. This documentation must be received before the first Fall semester immediately after the student graduates from high school. Each student who submits documentation will be reviewed to determine their eligibility for the scholarship. Availability of this scholarship can vary depending on student demand. Awards are for eligible incoming freshmen registered at Blinn College for 12 or more hours their first Fall semester. These awards are not renewed in any subsequent term.
