First Grade Dual Immersion

¡Hola Familias!

Me llamo Rebecca Smith y estoy muy emocionada comenzar mi primer año de enseñar. Recibí mi certificación en la Universidad de Washington, Tacoma. También tengo una carrera en español de la Universidad de Washington, Seattle. Estoy muy contenta poder utilizar esta carrera en clase con sus estudiantes. A mi me encanta los artes y he estado enseñando el baile por seis años aquí en Bremerton.

My name is Rebecca Smith and I am so excited to be starting my first year teaching in the classroom! I received my teaching certification from the University of Washington, Tacoma this summer. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Washington, Seattle and am thrilled to get to apply this to our dual language classroom. I have a passion for the arts and have been teaching dance to children for the last six years here in Bremerton.

Hello Families!

My name is Ms. Compton. This will be my seventh year at Armin Jahr, and my thirteenth year of teaching first grade. I teach the English side of our dual program. Your student will be mastering Math and Science in Room 8 for half their day.

I grew up in Enid, Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!), spent 20+ years in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Washington in 2015.

I have two grown children and two lovely daughters-in-love. Whit and Jaea are urbanites, and Luke and Kiley are teachers. My first Compton grandchild will arrive this December!!
