Mrs. Ruiz Fourth Grade  Room 32

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  My mission as a teacher is to foster a positive learning environment in order to develop resilient, respectful, successful contributors to society. In our class we work hard, play hard, and have fun learning!

Dear Families,

I want to take a moment to introduce myself and open the door and ask you to reach out to me with any questions and concerns you have for the upcoming school year. I am so excited to work with your child and look forward to learning their interests, strengths, and how they learn best.

I have been teaching with the Bremerton School District for the last eight years; this is my second year in 4th grade and Naval Avenue.

I have a unique teaching history. My family moved to China in 1996, and one of my first jobs was as a kindergarten teacher there. I worked in China as an English teacher in many roles, from small village kindergartens, to teaching speech at Yunnan Normal University to classes of over 200. When I moved back to America, I knew I wanted to continue to work in education. It took me a while, but in 2015 I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a dual major in general and special education.

My mission as a teacher is to foster a positive, safe, respectful learning environment for students to grow and learn in. I believe all students can achieve high standards, and I love watching them meet goals they set for themselves!

I know this will be another amazing year and I look forward to getting to know you all. ~Mrs. Ruiz
