I was born and raised in McCall, ID, a very small town in the mountains of northern Idaho.  I graduated from McCall-Donnelly High School in 1989, and continued on to college at the University of Idaho.  After graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I moved to Bremerton where I started teaching in the Bremerton and CK school districts.  I started teaching full time at MVMS in 1997, and have taught all grade levels and subjects.  This year, in my 29th year at MVMS, I am continuing to teach 8th grade pre-algebra.  For the last 11 years I have enjoyed being the coach of MVMS's volleyball team.

I have two children.  My daughter graduated from Washington State University and is a Kindergarten teacher in North Kitsap.  I have an amazing grandson named Ollie, who is 5 years old, and am excited to welcome my first granddaughter in January.  My son is a registered EMT, and is working towards being a firefighter.   In his free time he works on all things with an engine and races cars in the PNW Pro3 series.  I have two four legged furry friends.  One is a lab/pit mix named Tallie, and the other is a boxer named Sonni.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love to be with my dogs, working in the yard, playing volleyball, tennis, and pickle ball.
