About Me

Hello, my name is Leann Bryan.  I grew up in the Pacific Northwest enjoying the outdoors, and fascinated by the natural world around me led to my interest in science.  While taking courses in college, I fell in love with chemistry.  I loved learning about things we couldn’t see and the concrete nature of the mathematics in chemistry.  Today, I really enjoy connecting science concepts to current events and societal challenges to make the study of science relevant and to help prepare students to be educated and conscientious citizens that can make decisions and evaluate claims using scientific evidence.

For me, education has changed my life and the outcome of my future.  I grew up below the poverty level, and watched my parents struggle just to feed the family.  I was determined to change the pattern. I was the first on both sides of my family to get a college education, and I hope to inspire my students to prepare  and pursue further education; whether college, apprenticeship, or technical school.  

At home, I have a full life with a family and a hobby farm.  I have two sons and a loving husband. We live on a two acre lot with 7 goats, 3 chickens, 2 dogs, and a cat, where I enjoy gardening, and caring for the animals.  I also enjoy camping, fishing, and exploring the mountain areas around the state. I truly feel blessed to work with the youth of this community. Thank you!
