1st grade teacher
My name is Melissa McCourt. I grew up in Kitsap County and graduated from Central Kitsap High school in 1995. After working in the mountains as a lift operator and learning to snowboard, I decided to pursue my bachelor's degree in Education in the mountains of Gunnison, Colorado. I graduated with my teaching degree and a double major in Sociology from Western State in 2003. I started teaching first grade in Parachute, Colorado that fall and have been teaching ever since. I absolutely love being a teacher and am so grateful to be teaching back in my hometown of Bremerton. I now teach 1st grade here at View Ridge and would not want to work anywhere else.
