Thank you so much for your interest in helping with our B1X student ministry. We get asked all the time what B1X means. The first two letters are pretty self-explanatory, it's the X that is a bit different. It is deliberately ambiguous because each student experiences student ministry differently. For some it is an experience, for some, it is an exchange, and for some, it is an extreme transformation in their spiritual and social lives. That personal experience is where you come in. We need adults to invest in these students. Your presence and service speak volumes into the lives of teenagers whether you know it or not. Below you will find some needs to fill. Please look at the description and let me know where you feel would be your best fit. Just because you pick one does not mean you are stuck there, we can always adjust as you grow as well.
We have a Student Leadership Team that does a good deal of work in our Student Ministry. You may find yourself working with them as there is some crossover. They are very sharp and driven students and will do whatever is necessary to help make our ministry the best it can be.
Look below and check out the different needs we have for Sunday Nights. Use the signup at the bottom to let us know when and where you would like to serve.
Kitchen/Snack Supper Help
Each week we have some amazing parents who provide food for our student snack supper. But we need some help making sure it is set up, and cleaned up afterwards.
Set out food
Clean up food
Take trash out at end

Small group leader
Each week our students will break into small groups during our lesson time. Each group would be bettered by having an adult help them stay on task and by hearing your input in the discussion.
Don't worry, you wont have to teach anything, just jump in with the kids and enjoy the conversation.
Game Leader:
One of the hallmarks of fun times in youth is the games we play. Sometimes these games are expansive, and sometimes they happen in our worship time. The choice would really be yours. Brian will work with you to schedule times for group games and give you all the materials you would need to lead an awesome game.
We have 45 minutes at the beginning with the Highschool students and 45 minutes at the end with the Middle School students to play.
Greeter
Each week when our students arrive, we need people at the door to welcome them. If they are new students, we like to collect some basic contact information from them on the Connect Cards we have. We would need you to hand out and collect those cards. Some nights we may have information to be handed out to parents as kids are picked up and we would need you to help the SLT make that happen.
In between time, Spend time with the students playing pool or ping pong. Or just sit and listen. Get to know them and show them someone cares about them.
