Getting started with documenting student academics

While programming is a major priority of our Breakthrough program, student academic success is a key element in the work that we do. Many of us are scrambling to connect with our students and families, sometimes even school districts, to get information about student grades, courses they are taking, and test/assessment scores. We might get this information through a conversation, via a google form or even a massive CSV from the school district.  Then what?! All that information is in multiple places with different formats The challenge often comes when trying to collect, track and monitor our student's academic progress when much of that information is external to our organization. 

The BTSP system helps organize student academic data in one place in a structured and reportable format. Imagine running a report of your 8th grade students' final grades to inform their status going into high school, or being able to review all of your 12th grade students' SAT scores, using a few clicks of a button. This can be done using the data that is collected in in the BTSP system.
