Important Notes

• The National Office will provide affiliates a link to the pre- and post-summer Student SEL Survey; affiliates will then administer the survey to students during the appropriate window

• Windows:

  • • Pre-summer: May to June

      • • The National Office will send affiliates the link by April 30, 2021.

    • Post-summer: last week of program

      • • The National Office will send affiliates the link by July 2, 2021.

• Sample Script:

  • • “For the next 5-10 minutes, you’ll be sharing your responses to a survey which is intended to learn more about you, your school experience, and your thoughts about Breakthrough. This survey is confidential, so please be honest in your answers. You’ll be taking this survey twice during the summer - once right now, and once again towards the end of the summer. The information from these surveys will be used to improve our programming for future years. If you have any technology-related questions as you complete this survey, please let me know.”

• The National Office will contact your teaching fellows directly, using the email address we have from their application/Salesforce.

• Teaching fellows will receive a pre- and post-summer Teaching Fellow Survey. The survey will be administered in batches (see the table below). If for some reason these times do not generally align with your summer program dates, please reach out to Jee Deogracias.

• Analysis: (added 5/24/21)

  • • National will provide affiliate-level and collaborative-wide pre- and post-survey analysis in the fall (no raw data).

• Instructional coaches will receive a post-summer Instructional Coach Survey. The survey will be administered in batches (see the table below). If for some reason these times do not generally align with your summer program dates, please reach out to Jee Deogracias as soon as possible.
