What Does Your Child Need Everyday?
Their backpack and folder.
A blanket for nap time.
A filled reusable water bottle.
To practice their Smartie Folder letters and sounds. We will begin this soon.
For you to read to them for 20 minutes.
Just a Reminder
Please remember to hug your child before you drop them off.This will help drop off go a little smoother and faster.
Please let your childs teacher and the front office know before 2:30 pm if there will be a change in afternoon transportation.
Smartie folders- Please review over the letters for the week and return when you feel your child has mastered recognizing the letter and its sound.We will start these soon.
Please make sure your child has a filled reusable water bottle each day.
This week in Pre-K we are learning about.....
Week 5
Theme: Colors
ELA: We are focusing on the letters Ll, Oo and Tt and reviewing over the rest of the alphabet.
Math: We are reviewing over our numbers and one to one correspondence.
Science: We are having a fun week of science fun learning how to mix black and white, white and red and red, blue and yellow.
Social Studies: We are reviewing over pledges and what it means to be a good citizen.
Homework for 1st nine weeks:
Reading: Please read at least 20 minutes each day
Math: Practice counting 1 to 30
Social Skills: We are working on being kind and a friend. We are working on using our words and not our hands.
Life Skills: Please help your child to recognize their name. Not just verbally, but also visually.
Breakfast/Lunch: Most are able to open their containers independently. We are working on our table manners. Talking with the people around us using an inside voice and keeping our food on the table and not the floor.
