Connecting with Google Fit

Connect with Google Fit

On Android (Google), in order to convert walk / run distance into points for rewards, Bravera MUST be given access to the walk/run data with Google Fit.

For the most seamless experience, Google Fit is already installed on your Android Smartphone (if a Google Phone, it will be, for others, you’ll need to install from the Play Store).

You can find Google Fit from the Play Store HERE

MAKE SURE you’ve allowed Google Fit permission to access your daily walking + running activities (it is not essential to allow GPS location tracking).

If you did not have Google Fit installed on first download and registration of an account on Bravera, you can easily follow the steps inside the app when attempting to sync data or unlock offers.

If you didn't have Google Fit installed when creating your Bravera account. You'll be asked to 'Connect' to Google Fit inside the Bravera app Profile > Settings section.

After clicking 'Connect' you'll be taken to Google Fit in Google Play Store.

Download and set-up with your details.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SAME EMAIL TO CONNECT WITH BRAVERA AS YOUR GOOGLE FIT ACCOUNT.

Download Google Fit and follow the basic steps to set-up

Simply click - Connect/Install’ you’ll be taken to the Play Store to install Google Fit. Please install.

IMPORTANT: Please select the gmail account linked to your Play Store and that is linked to the Android account on your phone, and the Bravera account.

IMPORTANT: when asked to automatically track your activities, in order for Bravera to read your walking and running distance and convert into points, you MUST select 'Turn on'.

Without selecting 'Turn On', your walking and running distance won't be automatically calculated by Google Fit, and also cannot be shared with Bravera, in order to be turned into points and rewards.

Optional: when asked if Google Fit can 'Use your location', you can either select "turn on' or 'No thanks'.

Basically, if you 'Turn on' the distance will be more accurate, and you'll see where you've been walking and running. It may also use a little more of your battery life.

Selecting 'No thanks' means you'll get the distance data, but maybe not as accurate.

Now, go back to the Bravera app, open it, and click the red ‘sync’ button.

If you’ve not converted your walking and running distance on Bravera points for some time since signing up, please be patience, it could take a little while to convert the historical walking and running data into points you can use for rewards!

Any further questions, please feel free to contact support@bravera.co from the email address linked to your Bravera account.
