We qualified for the Mid-Missouri State Competition! Here are 2 pictures of us at the Queen City Qualifier:
We went to competition on November 18, 2017 in Nixa, Missouri. This is our first year to compete in Missouri. We were excited to take home the Champion's Award, Robot Performance Award and an award that allowed us to enter the Global Innovation category at state and hopefully worlds! For Robot Performance we were in first place for Round 1 & 2 and in Round 3 another team tied our best score. We've been busy working on the paperwork and it is now submitted for the Global Innovation category. Stay tuned for more on this! We are headed to Camdenton on December 16 for state!
Here's a little tidbit about our team members:
Kaden
Kaden is focused and is hard working. If we need a partner for a mission, he is our man. He won't give up until it is right!
Whitmore
Whitmore is helpful and unique. He could get silly at times, but work hard to achieve his goals!
Nolan
Nolan participates in everything he is asked to do. He has a great sense of humor and loves to share it with others!
Alex
Alex is fun. You will find him walking around and encouraging team members who might be getting frustrated at different points.
Ethan
Ethan may be a little quiet but knows a lot about programming! He will gladly listen to what other people say and then helps people find solutions.
Andru
Andru is funny and kind. He loves programming and loves to cheer people up. He has a lot of energy! He is also travels around the nation as a dancer!
Rylie
Rylie has a great sense of humor and always looks at the bright side of things. She is our team cheerleader.
Remington
Remington is kind and compassionate. She loves to help other people and is positive 24/7. She is also great a math and gymnastics!
Ben
Ben is a great helper and loves to help with projects. He enjoys researching and helping the team solve problems.
Landon
Landon is great at programming, and likes to build things. If something falls apart or isn't working, we go to Landon for advice. He's also the one who made this site!
Our coaches and mentors
Our coaches include Paula Bronn and Kari Houston and our mentor is Tabitha Clark. They are excellent coaches and mentors because they always guide us to come up with our own solutions to problems when they arise.
HUBO
Hubo is our teams robot. We like to think part human and part robot as he chooses whether to accomplish his missions or to fail.. Sometimes the missions work great, and sometimes we are sure he has a mind of his own. However he does get some credit for our missions.
