Welcome to fifth grade math at Walsh!
We are excited to support your child as they transition into middle school and continue building strong mathematical skills.
This year, we will be using the Think! Mathematics program—an engaging curriculum your child may already be familiar with from elementary school. Published by SL Education, this internationally recognized program is known for its innovative approach to developing confident and capable math learners.
Think! Mathematics focuses on helping students truly understand mathematical concepts, rather than simply memorizing procedures. Through problem-solving, discussion, and hands-on learning, students will explore ideas, make connections, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
Our goal is to build strong mathematical thinkers who are confident in explaining their reasoning and tackling new challenges.
We look forward to a wonderful year of growth and learning in math!
