Dear Walsh Intermediate School Health Families,
Welcome to the Google Site for W.I.S Health class! Health will be embeded into your student's PE class this year. All students will have approximately 15 days of health each trimester. During our Health class, students will be taught various units through the “Health Smart” curriculum. This curriculum is aligned with all state and national health standards. Here is breakdown of each grades units:
5th Grade: Hygiene / Personal Health & Mental Health
6th Grade: Nutrition & Puberty
7th Grade: Vaping / Alcohol / Tobacco / and other drug prevention
8th Grade: Conflict Resolution / Bullying & HIV, STI & Pregnancy Prevention
