About Me

Personal Background

    I grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan and attended The University of Michigan-Flint. My husband, Brian, and I have two sons. Owen is 12 years old and Max is 9 years old. The boys are always on the move and keep us busy!  I enjoy spending time with family, scrapbooking, walking and shopping. I also love anything Disney. I am pretty sure my family is done with me bugging them to go to Disney World!

Professional Background

     I graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I also have my Early Childhood Endorsement.  I completed my Masters at Marygrove College.  I started my teaching career teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade.  I then moved to 4th grade.  I am super excited to be teaching 2nd grade as I enter into my 21st year of teaching!

    In the classroom, I want to create a positive and active environment for the children to learn and grow.  The children in my classroom will work together and treat one another with kindness, respect and acceptance.  Students are able to be successful when their is an environment where teacher and families work together.  I enjoy getting to know parents and working with them to help their child be successful. I do believe all students can learn!
