Welcome to Yearbook Seminar! I am so excited to prepare the Brandon Middle School yearbook with you. We have a very important job to do, and it will take everyone's full commitment.
Remember at the end of the school year in June, when all of the students received their yearbook and the excitement from everyone could not be contained? You could feel the complete joy in the air. It is always a great day to be a part of. You are responsible for creating that life-long memory for every student in this school. What a great feeling to know you were a part of something so amazing!
In order to make this excitement happen, there are a few things we need to remember:
📸The yearbook is for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE! That means we need to photograph each person in this school at least 2 times. Whether someone is in a club, a sport, or nothing at all, our goal is to capture each student for our memory book.
📸📸Making a yearbook is a lot of work. We will need everyone to participate by signing up to capture after-school events, assemblies, fieldtrips, clubs, etc. If everyone does a small amount, we will have no problem capturing everything!
📸📸📸Honesty and integrity are vital when on the yearbook committee. People trust you with photos of them. Any photos you take will be used for yearbook only, and our classmates must trust us to take and use photos in a professional manner. Anyone who cannot be trusted with this important responsibility will be removed from yearbook committee.
📸📸📸📸Have fun! This is your book, these are your memories, and you can make it however you want. I am here to guide you, help you meet deadlines, and teach you some things about how to make a quality yearbook, but the rest is up to you!
