About Mrs. Rang

A little information about Mrs. Rang:

My name is Joni Rang. It’s hard to believe but this is my 22nd year teaching. I’ve mostly taught first grade but I do have a few years of second grade under my belt as well as a year of a multi-age. I went to Eastern Michigan University for my undergraduate and Oakland University for my Masters of Arts in Teaching Reading. I also took some extra courses to receive my Early Childhood Endorsement. Now to stay current, I attend conferences when time allows and host field placement students and/or student teachers. As you can tell, I love learning and school—especially first grade!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending every moment with my family and friends. I live in Highland on White Lake with my husband Tom and two boys Ryan (17) and Brady (15). We enjoy all the lake life activities like: Stand Up Paddle Boarding, tubing, wake-surfing, wake-boarding, knee boarding, jet skiing, fishing, etc. When time allows, we also love traveling to various places in the U.S. and have visited other countries too. I look forward to sharing my pictures and memories with you and your child throughout the year.
