Hello! Welcome to our page. I am glad you are here!
My name is Elyse Glende and this is my first year teaching! I recently graduated from Oakland University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I absolutely love teaching this age!
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love photography and being outdoors (when the weather is nice) My Grant and I live in Auburn Hills and have two dogs, Reagan and Kye. We enjoy taking them on hikes and hanging out at home.
I am excited to get to know your child, you and your family. Parents are a child's' first educator and I believe if we work together, it will help your child succeed. You can expect open communication and understanding from me. I will be willing to assist you and your child with any education concern or conflict you may have. I am very excited and am looking forward to a great school year!

Hi, I'm Violet Smerczak and this is my second year teaching at Harvey Swanson! I love teaching preschool! I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and I have a Child Development Associate Credential as well.
My husband John and I live in Ortonville and we have a dog named Oliver. We like to take long walks with him in our neighborhood! I enjoy reading, watching movies and gardening. I also enjoy running!
One of the greatest joys for me as a preschool teacher is having the privilege of seeing children learn and discover new things every day! I enjoy working with parents and building a strong foundation for their children that will encourage their love of learning. Please feel free to ask how I can help you and your child through their preshool year. I look forward to working with each of you!
