Meet Mrs. O

I was raised in West Bloomfield, where my parents and cat still reside. After high school graduation, I studied in Münster, Germany. When I arrived in Germany to begin my exchange year, I only knew two phrases. I was placed with a German host family and attended a German high school. After 4 months I was proficient in conversational German, and after 5 months, I was even thinking in German!

Returning back home, I studied at Michigan State University (Go Green!) where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with a teaching major in Language Arts and a Teaching Minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am in the process of completing my endorsement in Early Childhood and Special Education (ZS).

A year ago, I married my husband, Ryan. We don't have children, but we treat our dog, Amber, like our child. She is a 12 year old German shepherd mix. When I'm not at school, I enjoy playing soccer, walking Amber and crafting.
