Feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns about your child's progress in my class.

Chromebooks: It is a requirement that all students in my history  class have a district provided Chromebook. I use certain features on my tests that are not accessible from their personal devices. Please be sure to contact help@brandon.k12.mi.us to schedule a pick up if you do not already have one.

Grades: Grades are being updated weekly. If you want to check if work is being done by your student you can check their google classroom to see what has been turned in and what is missing. The actual grade your student has in the class will be reflected in Mi-Star and updates weekly. Please keep in mind, if a student turns in an assignment late, that assignment will not be graded or posted until the next grading cycle.

AIM:  The Dystopian Short Story. Students will read several examples of dystopian stoies before creating their own 500 word short story.

World History: We will begin by  studying the growth of early civilizations, their accomplishments, and the importantance of each to the growth of humanity.  Early Civilizations and the BIG 6 elements of civilization will lead the class into a study on world religions before moving on into the expansion of empires. The first BIG test is expected to be Monday October 16.
