Math 7 builds upon concepts learned the previous year. Algebraic thinking and computation skills with integers will be built upon through examination of linear and non-linear relationships. Ratios, proportional thinking, and percents will be applied to real-life scenarios, while the concept of scaling is developed both in geometric situations and numerical contexts. Principles of area and volume will be applied for rectangular prisms, cylinders, spheres, and cones. The use of statistics and probability in analysis of data will be examined.
