Scientific Events

In this page you will find information about our regular workshops at Brandeis and our former Mathematical Biology seminars at Collège de France,  the series of colloquia on the Mathematics of the Brain in Paris, weekly on statistical physics for biology bookclub, and our occasional organization of workshops and seminars.

The Brandeis Probability Seminar

I started and co-organize with Tyler Maunu and Olivier Bernardi, we are hosting on Mondays at 10am the Brandeis Probability Seminar, covering a large array of topics related to probability and stochastic processes. We started the seminar in 2025, and look forward to many years of intellectual probabilistic exchange!

The Brandeis Mathematical Biology Seminar

Co-organized by Thomas Fai and Yangyang Wang, this seminar started in 2020 and is currently curated by postdoc Nate Sutton and graduate student Sreshta Sreshta Venkatakrishnan, the Brandeis Mathematical Biology Seminar is hosting each Wednesday at lunch time a very broad selection of talks on topics related to mathematical biology. Most talks are available on our Youtube Channel - tune in! More information and the speaker schedule are available here

The 2022 Mathematics of Climate Conference

For the Brandeis’ Year of Climate Action, we have organized a special one-day virtual conference bringing together leading researchers in mathematical modeling related to climate change. The conference covered techniques from mathematical modeling, data analysis and climate policy, and topics including the impact of climate change on vegetation, animal populations, water/ice, carbon, and human health.
