End of Year 2 Expectations
Use some of the following links to help you improve and create your own:
- Diary entries whilst you're at home
- Story, for example Miss Brady and The Giant Plum or Mrs Booth and The Giant Banana
- Newspaper report on the growth of a giant vegetable in your front/back garden!

Build your own rocket with resources from home.
Write a short story about where your rocket would go.
Write a character description of the alien the boy meets.
Write a setting description of where the rocket lands.
Create a dialogue between the boy and the alien.

Research and draw the life-cycle of a caterpillar
Create your own butterfly - can you make it symmetrical?
Design your own shoes for the caterpillar, what will make them really stand out? Draw, label and write about them.
Go on a mini-beast hunt in your garden and; create a tally chart of the mini-beasts you find, sketch and label them and create a fact file for them.
Write a scary description of the thorny stick insect tree.
Research what it means to camouflage, write a short story of what you would do if you could camouflage.
